One of six films Autry made in 1953, his last year as a movie actor. In this one, he and the Cass County Boys are mistaken for Texas Rangers after they help out Davis, the operator of a toll road. Davis is being harassed by poachers who want her land because of its valuable mineral content. Weak story offers some good songs, including the ever-popular "On Top of Old Smoky," sung by Autry. leave a comment
