Old Oklahoma Plains

This strange series western has Allen helping the Army clear cattle from an area of range so that they can conduct tank maneuvers circa 1926. The ranchers, however, do not like the idea because they fear the Army will no longer buy their horses if tanks replace the cavalry. Barcroft, the rancher with the most to lose if the tank tests are successful, plots to sabotage the maneuvers, and it's up to Allen to stop him. The film's bizarre highlight is a race between a tank and a cavalry troop, which is lifted nearly shot-for-shot from Republic's 1938 epic ARMY GIRL. One of the last gasps of the series western.
