Old Gringo

The long-awaited film version of Carlos Fuentes' highly regarded novel, OLD GRINGO chronicles the adventures of Harriet Winslow (Jane Fonda), an aging Washington, DC, schoolteacher as she ventures to Mexico during the revolution of 1913. Seeking to change her life and live up to her father's expectations, Harriet becomes involved with Arroyo (Jimmy Smits), the leader of the local revolutionaries. The film then settles into a love triangle of sorts with the appearance of an old man (Gregory Peck) who has arrived on the scene to gratify his romantic notions of life and death.
