The Old Dark House: Review

"No beds! They can't have beds!" Set the VCR, or better yet, pull an all-nighter; this campy and creepy classic from director James Whale (the tragic subject of the recent Gods and Monsters) is terrific fun. On a dark and stormy night, a group of stranded travelers (including Gloria Stuart, some 65 years before Titanic) are forced to take refuge in, well, an old dark house. Sure, it's the premise of just about every other haunted-house filck going, but Whale got there first and did it best.
