Routine WW II film with the usual set of cliches. The action involves the gun crew of a destroyer stationed off Okinawa. Lots of stock battle footage pads the weak script as the stereotypical crew dukes it out with the Japanese. O'Brien is the tough-as-nails commander, Mitchell is the
loudmouth-with-a-heart-of-gold powderman, Williams the kindly-but-tough old man, Denning the well-liked, but equally tough lieutenant, Dobson the homesick kid, and Benedict the fun-loving ladies' man.
