Fields is a factory girl in grimy Lancashire who inherits several greyhounds when her father dies. She sells all but the best, using its racing winnings to finance a soup kitchen when the factory workers go out on strike. This weak vehicle was supposed to make a star out of Fields, the younger sister of talented comedienne Gracie Fields. leave a comment
