This strange black comedy revolves around an elderly art critic, Mr. Kenmochi (Ganjiro Nakamura), who has problems with his virility. Without telling his young wife, Ikuko (Machiko Kyo), he takes injections to improve his sex life, but they don't seem to have any effect.
