October Moth

After accidentally causing Raynor to be involved in an auto accident, Patterson, a mentally retarded man, brings her home to the farm he lives on with his sister (Morris). Patterson is convinced Raynor is his late mother, but Morris tries to get Dyneley, a telephone lineman, to help her brother get over this obsession. Patterson soon comes to believe Dyneley is his brutal late father and becomes bent on killing him. The sordid events come to a grisly close when Morris accidentally shoots her brother. Had this been done with some sensitivity, it could have been an interesting drama. However, the treatment here is depressing, catering to the basest elements of melodr...
