Eight O'Clock Walk

Attenborough is a taxi driver who is played an April Fool's trick by a little girl, leading him to chase her playfully. When the girl's murdered body is found later, witnesses and circumstantial evidence all point to Attenborough. Defense attorney Farr stands by his client and, after seeing witness Denham offering candy to a child, realizes that Denham is the killer. He breaks Denham down on the stand and manages to get a confession. Good courtroom drama, with Attenborough excellent as an innocent man caught in the wheels of justice.
