Proval plays a good-hearted mentally retarded man with the mind of a 10-year-old. To help his mother he works delivering groceries while his older brother, Andronica (also the film's writer), protects him from the neighborhood bullies. Proval often fantasizes about being Superman and marrying Feldshuh, who works in a nearby bakery.
