Not the usual fare for French comedy. A professor, Marais, is fascinated with suspended animation and conducts countless experiments. Page, his fiancee, thinks he is wasting his time and wants him to go into a more stable profession--the soft drink business. During his final day in the lab, Marais knocks over his experimental solution, which his dog laps up. To Marais' amazement, the dog becomes a three-inch statue.
