NOWHERE TO RUN is such a crowded movie, so stuffed with subplots and characters, that it might have been called NO ROOM TO BREATHE. This odd melange of small-town realism, teen comedy, and action thriller centers on two high-school seniors, Howard (Jason Priestly) and Jerry Lee (Kieran Mulroney).

It's 1960, and a small town in Texas is riven by a local power struggle. A corrupt judge (Henry Jones) and an evil sheriff are the town bosses, but the latter is up for re-election and may lose his job. His challenger, Tooley (Andy Wood), is the father of Howard's girlfriend (Jillian McWhirter). As part of his ruthless election drive, Tooley releases a convicted kille...
