Hope is a habitual liar who has to tell the truth for 24 hours to win a bet in this cute comedy that keeps the jokes rolling for Hope. Goddard, his fiancee, has handed him $10,000 for charity, hoping that he will double that amount in three days by winning the bet. Arnold, Erickson, and Anders are the ones who bet against him and provide the impetus for Hope's usual double-talk. This is the third and best version of this story, originally filmed in 1920 and then in 1929. leave a comment
