This film with a message for unwed mothers was cowritten and coproduced by movie star Ida Lupino. A naive girl, Forrest, becomes infatuated with musician Penn and gives in to temptation. Penn doesn't want to be tied down, which is unfortunate for Forrest when she discovers she is pregnant. While going through the agony of being an unwed mother, she meets crippled veteran Brasselle, who wants to marry her. She shuns him and enters a home for unwed mothers to sort out her problems. After she works things out, she reunites with Brasselle to begin life anew. leave a comment
