Not Of This Earth

Master of low-budget horror and science-fiction films Roger Corman comes up with a winner this time. Well-paced, it tells the story of an alien being (Birch) who comes to Earth to scout the planet for another blood source. He takes blood from humans for the people of his own planet Davana. To kill his victims he looks at them with his pupilless eyes and spends most of the movie in wraparound sunglasses and a gray-flannel suit. A frail but still frightening figure, he dies when the high-pitched whine of a motor bike causes him to crash his car.
