A lightweight film starring Campbell as a Marine Vietnam veteran. He leaves Texas to seek out a service buddy and to pursue a musical career in New York, unwittingly transporting two stolen cars along the way. Abandoning the cars after being chased by the police, Campbell hitchhikes to New York. Upon his arrival, he discovers buddy Namath has already left for Arkansas, leaving Campbell to have a short fling with Sterling, a hippie living in Namath's apartment.
