Grant and Chinook the dog join forces again in another film that glorifies the Canadian Mounties. An old prospector, Flint, shows up with a map detailing the whereabouts of rich oil deposits. He's supposed to meet Grant at Ft. McKenzie, where Grant will turn his grandson, Mitchell, over to him. But the prospector is killed before Grant arrives. Grant then sets after the killers, dragging along his amazing dog and Mitchell. Grant disguises himself as a rookie prospector in the hope that the killers will expose themselves. In a long, drawn-out scene, Grant and Chinook chase the murderers through the woods and finally bring them to justice.
