A below par Rogers vehicle with Roy playing an Indian agent in Canada trying to prevent hostilities between Oseka Indians and the owner of a salmon cannery. The cannery, owned by Barcroft, is overfishing the salmon before they can travel upstream to where the Indians are camped. As a result, the Indians are starving. Rogers sorts things out and has time to sing three Jack Elliott songs, "By the Laughing Spring," "Just Keep a' Movin'," and the title song. Republic was engaging in a little greediness (called the "conservation program") at the time it was making this film about greed.
