North Of Shanghai

A dull tale of a female reporter, Furness, and a newsreel cameraman, Craig, who are covering the Sino-Japanese war. Furness is on a forced vacation after exposing an important scandal stateside, and she meets Craig on a boat headed for the war zone. They join forces with Luke, a Chinese cameraman who helps them uncover a gang of spies working in the Shanghai office of Furness' newspaper. War buffs will find plenty of action shots from newsreels of the time, including hand-to-hand fighting and air raids.
