Nora Prentiss: Review

Though originally intended to be what was once called a "woman picture," this twisty melodrama is so filled with seedy hotel rooms, darkly lit nightclubs, assumed identities and treacherous twists of fate that it really qualifies as a film noir. Kent Smith stars as a successful but unhappily married doctor who devises a way of faking his own death and running off with his girlfriend, leggy nightclub siren Ann Sheridan.
