Overly chatty whodunit starring Allan as a woman sentenced to prison for the murder of her husband, though no one really blames her because the deceased was universally despised. Price, her cousin, cuts short his vacation to investigate the murder because he believes Allan to be innocent. Aided by Allan's stepdaughter Anderson, the pair discovers that the murder victim was a reprehensible blackmailer whose life style could have motivated any number of people to kill him.
