No Time For Tears

A standard hospital soap opera intertwining the lives (and deaths) of various patients and staff members. Though the situations are clearly out of the movie medical bag, the ensemble manages to rise above cliches and stereotypes. Neagle carries the film as the head nurse, with good support from Syms as the new nurse on her staff. Since this is a children's hospital, the opportunity to cast precocious youngsters must have been tempting. However the kids in this film are natural, with only a hint of saccharine in a few of the performances. The Boulting twins are the identical sons of British film director Ray Boulting.
