Girardot plays a busy French doctor who is admired by her coworkers and patients but has problems at home. Perier is her dull husband, Huppert her pregnant teenage daughter, and Coryn her neglected son. Somehow Girardot makes time for a lover, played by Cassel. Her world seemingly comes
crashing down around her when she discovers she has cancer, but she remains brave and optimistic, facing her operation with uncanny pluck. This plotless film ambles nicely from situation to situation because of Girardot's marvelous performance. For her role in NO TIME FOR BREAKFAST she received
