Homeier plays a young medical student whose blind and deaf mother, Rawlings, put him through school. She owns a nightclub but cannot make enough money to support her boy. She turns to fencing jewels and finds that she is good at it despite her handicaps. When Homeier returns from school in America, he discovers how his mother supported him and is nearly framed for a botched robbery and murder. This tedious suspense film is hampered by its constant use of sign language to move the story forward. There really was no point to making Rawlings blind and deaf other than to evoke audience sympathy. The drama is unconvincing though Homeier manages to give a good performance in his British screen debut. Also making his film debut was Connery in a minor role. leave a comment
