A routine caper comedy that holds some interest because the story that it is based on was written by young director Carol Reed, who would eventually go on to direct one of the greatest British films ever made, THE THIRD MAN (1949). Reed had already demonstrated a penchant for complicated plots, and this story concerns a hapless parking lot attendant (Harker) who unwittingly becomes involved with a ring of jewel thieves who mistake him for an American triggerman they've been waiting for.
