Blue is the foreman of a bridge construction team. He falls for the young daughter of a Boston engineer, but their love is endangered when a bridge collapse appears to be Blue's fault. But no, it was her wicked brother all along and the couple ends up together. With only 50 percent of this
spoken dialog and the rest silent, NO DEFENSE is a minor and completely boring exercise in early sound technology. Blue is too pure-hearted to be taken the least bit seriously and the special effects are terrible even by 1929 standards.
