Singing fisherman Kiepura replaces over-the-hill tenor Mowbray just as the man is to sing to Swarthout, leading diva for operatic impresario Merivale. It all turns out to be merely an opportunity to bill Swarthout and the Polish immigrant, and the plot falls to pieces before it's over. The
