Contrived musical comedy starring Foster as an ambitious young singer who becomes so desperate to get a break on Broadway that she confronts producer Tone and announces that she's the offspring of his one-day marriage to de Wit years ago. Surprisingly, Tone greets the news with enthusiasm
and soon puts his "daughter" on Broadway. Potential trouble arises when Miss de Wit arrives, but she goes along with the deception in order to fool Tone for her own reasons. In the end, all works out happily. Songs include "Once Upon a Dream" (Jack Brooks, Hans J. Salter), "Market Place,"
"Shadows", and "Largo al Factotum" (from Rossini's Barber of Seville).
