Mississippi River tale starring Richards as a low-level hoodlum who is framed for murder by his boss and sentenced to be hanged. The execution never happens, however, because the mighty Mississippi overflows its banks and sends everyone scurrying for shelter, which enables Richards to escape from his guard.
