Abbott and Costello made their film debut in this picture and are, unquestionably, the best thing in it. Using some of the routines they had already made popular through their radio show, the two add very effective comedy relief to the story of insurance salesman Jim Moore (Allan Jones), who sells a policy to soon-to-be-wed Steve Harper (Robert Cummings) but elopes with his bride (Nancy Kelly).
