Night Without Sleep

This hard-to-believe suspense film features Merrill as a psychotic composer who has been warned by his shrink that he has violent tendencies. Awaking one morning out of a drunken stupor, Merrill can't shake the feeling he has murdered a woman during the night. Panicked, he calls his ex-mistress Neff to see if she's all right. She says she's fine, so the distraught composer phones his old friend, movie actress Darnell, who is also doing quite well. (While Merrill dials we are treated to lengthy flashback scenes involving his relationships with these women.)
