The ordeals of three nurses, Byrne, Collins, and Lawrence--all lovelies on the night shift at a psychiatric clinic--allow for another New World foray into sex, violence, and other profitable enterprises. Aside from the minimal horror angle, here a mixed-up male orderly with visions of becoming a head nurse, there's some dabbling into politics and the dangers of excessive drug taking. This picture never takes itself seriously for a single frame, with the performers obviously chosen more for their looks than any acting talent they may possess beneath their tight white uniforms. Roger Corman's exhortation to director Kaplan in this, his first directorial effort, was reportedly "Frontal nudity from the waist up, total nudity from behind, and no pubic hair. Now go to work."
