Lovely Callie Wells (Heather Langenkamp), a 16-year-old waitress at Henry Soames's (Michael Cole) diner, becomes pregnant by young Willard Freund (Patrick Cassidy), who then goes off to college. Willard's father (Ed Lauter) offers Callie money for an abortion, not wishing his son to marry beneath his station. Kindly, overweight Henry--her mother's one-time suitor--weds Callie instead to give the child a name, to the dismay of the newly returned Willard. leave a comment
