The Bowery Boys try to make a name for themselves in the world of journalism by getting the goods on an underworld figure. Slip (Leo Gorcey) is a copyboy and would-be reporter, and Sach (Huntz Hall) is a photographer for the same paper. Acting on a tip from a buddy (Gabriel Dell) and
claiming to be friends of a friend, they visit the gangster, get the story, and then publish it under another writer's name. Naturally, Slip and Sach are walking on thin ice, but they manage to save their skins and deliver the mobster to justice by the film's end. There's plenty of action packed
