Norma Talmadge, who had begun a very successful silent film career at the age of 14 in A TALE OF TWO CITIES (1911), here attempted to make the transition to talkies. She plays an actress who is married to Roland, an aspiring composer. Roland's excessive drinking puts a strain on the relationship and eventually leads Talmadge to take up with gangster Wray.
