Routine soldiers-versus-Indians action film has Ayres as the captain of a cavalry unit sent to stop an Indian uprising. The Indians, lead by chief de Corsia, are upset over the white man's breaking a treaty de Corsia had signed with President Lincoln. Though Ayres is friends with de Corsia and sympathetic toward his demands, he must still follow orders.
