This routine western fare has Wayne in his last role as one of "The Three Mesquiteers," prior to achieving stardom in STAGECOACH. The other Mesquiteers were Corrigan and Hatton. Here, the three save a group of settlers from a land-grabbing construction company which wants to build a dam where the ranchers have settled. The ranchers are given land in a different valley that, they discover, is not irrigated. So Wayne and the boys come back to help make sure the displaced people get a fair deal, which they do.
