This Lane vehicle has the comedian involved with the age-old plot twist about a struggling artist whose life is so miserable he takes out a contract on himself, only to find that things get better all of a sudden. In this case Lane is the recipient of a large inheritance, which makes the man change his mind about wanting to die. At the time the idea was original, but it would be handled much better in later productions. The pretty Oberon made her second screen appearance in a bit role here, before being discovered by Alexander Korda. leave a comment
