Never A Dull Moment

This picture lives up to its title as it moves effortlessly through a series of funny incidents on the way to a satisfying conclusion. Van Dyke is a poor actor who has just finished a tiny role on a TV show. He fears that a mugger is on his tail, so he ducks into a doorway where Bill, a tough hoodlum, mistakes him for the hired killer he is supposed to meet. Van Dyke attempts to convince him that he's made a mistake, but Bill has an assignment and he means to satisfy it. He drives Van Dyke to Robinson's estate.
