Swanson plays the tyrannical mother of the Roman emperor in a film intended to be satire but coming off as highly stylized slapstick. The picture is worth seeing if only to catch the amazing show Swanson puts on; she dominates the picture, proving herself again one of the great actresses.
Swanson took part in this production while moonlighting as a reporter for the UPI.
