Strange twist on a passionate love theme has Hampshire as a married housewife visiting the Isle of Jersey to straighten out her life. While there, she meets and falls in love with a lighthouse-keeper, Petrovitch. The two run off to Scotland together where, while they are making love on the
beach, Petrovitch dies. But he comes back to life, making for some problems on the part of Hampshire and other friends as they try to relate to this new state. Picture has tinges of Ingmar Bergman, in both the photography of the barren landscape and in the sparse dialog.
