This tepid remake of JACK AHOY! (1934) stars Shiner as a sailor in the British Royal Navy who is left alone on a South Sea island to guard supplies. Ten years later, everyone has forgotten him and he has been made king of the island by the natives. Eventually the navy realizes that he's been left there and a ship is sent to the island to save him.
