The Navy Comes Through: Review

This is an almost surrealistic war film that did big box-office business. Cooper, Baer, and Arnaz are sailors on a decrepit freighter that nearly destroys the Nazi naval fleet. The sharp captain and his gutty crew sink submarines and ships and shoot down planes throughout the film. Much newsreel footage is cut in to spice up the action.
