While teaching art at a girls' finishing school, Williams is seduced by Zetterling, a French student. The comely young girl is also a friend of Williams' daughter (Grahame), which causes some emotional discomfort for the man. Eventually the affair ends, leaving Williams a sad, but better
individual. It's not a particularly tasteful theme, nor is the comedy handled with the wit necessary to pull it off. The results are fairly pedestrian and lack any real style.
