Chock-full of some excellent country music singers, this film stars Jennings as an ex-GI who becomes a local sensation with his singin' and strummin'. He marries Frann and has a run-in with a crooked agent, eventually resorting to drink. His wife puts him back on his feet when she cons Ritter into giving Jennings a shot at the Grand Ole Opry.
