Standard Disney kiddie fare, featuring Jodie's Foster's screen debut. Young Napoleon Wilson (Johnny Whitaker) lives on a farm in Oregon with his grandfather (Will Geer). Excitement enters their lives when a circus performer persuades them to take in Major, an aging lion. But Gramps falls ill and dies, and Napoleon fears he'll be sent to an orphanage. He covers up the death with the help of Danny (Michael Douglas).
