Kim Basinger showed a real flair for comedy in this 1987 farce about a Texas woman who gets embroiled in a real estate scandal and murder when she tries to retrieve the "art studies" she once made with a sleazy photographer (Jerry Stiller). The photog winds up dead, she instead winds up with an envelope containing the plans for a new highway that will send Austin real-esate through the roof. Her ex-husband (Jeff Bridges) wants in.
