La Rocque has been wrongly sent to Devil's Island. His freedom depends on a document that proves he is innocent of treason. The usual intrigues and murders occur, but, as expected, Barrie winds up freeing her husband. The cat-and-mouse game among Roland, Halliday and Barrie, the three principals, is interesting at first but quickly wears down due to the uninspired direction and weak dialog. leave a comment
