This is a film that from beginning to end is a complete mystery. Hauer is a stranger in a small coastal village. Who is he? Where did he come from? Was he involved with a murder? The film offers no insight into the human condition, let alone the characters here. Hauer would soon leave for
America, where he received better parts in such films as BLADE RUNNER. Kristel shows absolutely no acting ability in one of her few "legitimate" films.
