Carey is a veteran policeman in Hell's Kitchen. His son (Cabot) turned to crime but is now being released from prison. Carey tries to help the young man make a new start, but Cabot is soon back with his old cronies. He rejoins the mob and kills a police officer. Having no choice, Carey
kills his son in a shootout. Though a formal picture through and through, the direction manages to inject some life into the stock situations. Carey is able to escape his stereotype as well, turning in a fairly good performance. However, the skimpy plot and weak dialog ultimately catch up with the
